They prevent the diarrhea that is common when taking prescribed antibiotics. Lab studies have shown them to reduce cold symptoms and reduce cancerous tumors. Researchers concluded that B. lactis supplementation provided a big boost to the immune system in the elderly by significantly increasing infection fighting white blood cells.

It would be hard to get enough lactoferrin by drinking cow’s milk because there is only a trace in it. God has provided for the immune system of an infant by putting about 125 mg of lactoferrin in breast milk. The ‘first milk’, colostrum, contains a whopping 875 mg per half cup to give the newborn’s immune system a big boost.

Lactoferrin has a unique affinity to iron, allowing it to bind to the nutrient. Numerous strains of pathogens need an iron-rich environment to reproduce. Lactoferrin limits the availability of iron to bacteria in the intestine, allowing only the beneficial bacteria to thrive.

When taken together lactoferrin and probiotics provide a synergistic effect (create a more powerful effect than each could alone) to the immune system.

   In the Philippines and Pacific Islands the coconut palm is called the “tree of life” and the coconut the “fruit of life”. What does science say?
   Even though there has never been a scientific study to say so, coconut oil was once mistakenly believed to be unhealthy because of its high saturated fat content. It is now known that the fat in coconut oil is a unique and different from most all other fats and possesses many health giving properties. Published studies in medical journals show that coconut, in one form or another, may provide a wide range of health benefits.
   Coconut oil has been described as "the healthiest oil on earth." What makes it different from all other oils, especially other saturated fats? The difference is in the fat molecule. All fats and oils are composed of molecules called fatty acids. They come in short-chain fatty acids (SCFA), medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA), and long-chain fatty acids (LCFA). Some 98 to 100% of all the fatty acids you consume are LCFA. It is that coconut oil is composed predominately of MCFA that makes it so special and so beneficial.
   Our bodies respond to and metabolize each fatty acid differently depending on its size. The physiological effects of MCFA in coconut oil are distinctly different from those of LCFA more commonly found in our foods. Research indicates that MCFA help to lower the risk of both arterioscleroses and heart disease and have many other health benefits. Coconut oil has had a long history of use throughout the world as both a food and as a medicine. People who use the most coconut oil have the lowest heart disease rates in the world.
   Research has led to the use in the U.S. of coconut oil, in one form or another, in hospital IV solutions, in infant formula, and in anti-candida medications. Published studies indicate that a few of the benefits of coconut oil are: kills bacteria, viruses, and fungi, improves energy and digestion, reduces inflammation, and supports the immune system.
   Which is the best and healthiest coconut oil?   Price and taste are indication of quality . The lowest priced products usually contain contaminates and can have an undesirable taste. Basically all coconut oils are a version of 2 types: RBD and virgin. RBD, which stands for "refined, bleached, and deodorized”, has undergone extensive processing which results in it being colorless, tasteless, and odorless. It is typically made from dried coconut oil called copra and commonly used in food processing and cosmetics. Virgin is made from fresh coconuts. Since high temperatures and chemical solvents are not used, the oil retains its naturally occurring phytochemicals (plant chemicals) which produce a distinctive mild coconut flavor and aroma. “Extra virgin” is used to indicate the oil was processed without additional heat making it a raw food, but there is no law governing the use of this term. The only way to tell if the oil is truly raw is by taste and smell. Raw oils will have a sweet, delicate coconut flavor and aroma. Heated oils will have a slight roasted and cooked flavor. Coconut oil does not need refrigerated because it is very stable. It can be safe and usable when kept on a shelf for years.

Is Gardasil Preventive Care or Human Sacrifice ?

   Since Merck, the maker of the Gardasil vaccine, is making billions of dollars promoting using this vaccine on our young girls the public needs to be aware of information that is available about this product besides what is put out by the company whose primary interest is in making money.
The public watchdog group Judicial Watch has been periodically obtaining adverse event reports on Gardasil from the FDA. 10 deaths have been linked to Gardasil since September 2007, and there have been 140 reports so far this year of serious side effects such as miscarriage and Guillain-Barré syndrome. Says Tom Fitton, President of Judicial Watch, “Given all the questions about Gardusil, the best public health policy would be to reevaluate its safety and to prohibit its distribution to minors. In the least, governments should rethink any efforts to mandate or promote this vaccine for children.”                                                                                                                                                                                There are more than 100 types of human papillomaviruses (HPVs). 10-30 strains can possibly lead to cervical cancer under the right conditions. Gardasil vaccine contains just four types of HPV. If a woman has already been exposed to one of the four types of virus in the vaccine, it doesn’t work. If a woman accepts the many risks and gets vaccinated, her chances of getting some form of HPV are still very high if she is high risk. The CDC web site states that that in 90 percent of women infected, HPV clears up on its own within two years. It is only when the HPV virus lingers for many years that these abnormal cells could turn into cancer. Abnormal cells can be found during routine doctor’s visits and be treated before causing problems.                                                                                                                                                                               How a HPV affects a woman’s body depends in large part on the state of the immune system. Gardasil, on the other hand, can damage the immune system, and can potentially lead to death. The main causes of death include blood clots, acute respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, and “sudden death” due to “unknown causes” shortly after receiving the vaccine. 11 of the reported deaths occurred within 2 weeks of vaccination, and 7 within 2 days, so whatever the mechanism that induces death, it’s quick and efficient. Other side effects include: Miscarriages and spontaneous abortion; Genital wart outbreak, even in patients who had tested negative for HPV and genital warts prior to vaccination; Facial warts and warts on hands and feet; Anaphylactic shock; Loss of consciousness; Grand mal seizures; Coma; Paralysis.                                                                                                                                                                                     It’s also important to know that Merck has NOT evaluated Gardasil’s potential carcinogenity or genotoxicity. There is currently no way of knowing how the HPV vaccine affects fertility, birth defects, cancer, if it can pass through breast milk, or if it can alter your genes or the genes of your future children (genotoxicity). Last year when there were “only” 1,637 adverse reports, 18 of 42 women who had received the vaccine while pregnant experienced side effects ranging from spontaneous abortion to fetal abnormalities. You should also know that aside from being injected with four types of HPV proteins, girls and women who receive this vaccine also receive the following adjuvants: 1. Aluminum adjuvants, which have been linked to neurological damage including multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease; 2. Polysorbate 80, which has been linked to infertility in mice. 3. Sodium borate, a main ingredient roach killer.
    The following have been shown to be associated with increased risk of cervical cancer: Nutritional deficiencies, especially vitamin A and folate; Mineral deficiency (zinc, selenium, calcium and iron); Smoking; Birth control use; & Douching. Cervical cancer is also well documented to be caused by an infection acquired through sexual contact. So in addition to avoiding smoking and eating a nutritious diet, it is behaviorally avoidable. According to a New England Journal of Medicine study, the use of condoms reduces the incidence of HPV by 70 percent, offering FAR better protection than Gardasil’s claimed protection rate of 12.2 to 16.5 percent.

The Real Problem: Free Radicals, Trans Fats, & Refined Carbohydrates
Native LDL which is made by the body is good. Modified LDL is “bad”. It is Native LDL that has been oxidized by free radicals that can cause plaque in the blood vessels. Free radicals have negative charge which makes them highly chemically active-They can do a lot of damage, including damaging vessel walls, looking for that positive charge to be neutralized. Taking in cholesterol- About 75% of cholesterol is made by the liver, about 25% from food. Less than 50% of cholesterol taken in is absorbed. The more cholesterol ingested the less the body makes.

High cholesterol is a symptom of the body needing better care. To lower the symptom without solving the problem is very dangerous.

Usually unnecessary, but dangerous statin drugs to lower cholesterol can produce side effects in any part of the body because they can interfere with body functions that need cholesterol. They also interfere with the liver making vital CoQ 10.

Coenzyme Q10- The Heart-Healthy Antioxidant

Coenzyme Q10 has been dubbed the “cellular spark plug” because it is essential in body cells for the production of energy. The highest need and concentration is in cells of the hardest working organs. What works harder than the beating heart? It should not be any surprise that heart patients often have dangerously low levels of CoQ10. For about 3 decades CoQ10 has been used to treat and prevent heart disease in Japan and by some US physicians. It is also used to treat gum disease. There is extensive research to support both uses.

CoQ 10 is one of many antioxidants needed to disable dangerous free radicals connected with most diseases. Everything we say, do, and think produces chemicals in our body. These chemicals either promote our health or work against it. Research indicates that rejoicing, praying, and giving thanks not only pleases God but makes us healthier.

Deliberately making choices to look for the positive to be thankful for can lift a “low feeling” and enhance our immune system to work with diet and exercise to decrease our chances of getting ill.

Laughter produces health enhancing chemicals. To improve health, watch or listen to things that make you laugh. Just the physical act of laughing when there is nothing to laugh about, creates positive chemicals.

Even the music we choose to listen to affects our health and state of mind. Chemicals are produced in the body when we hear music. Some of those chemicals make us feel happy while others make us blue. You can improve or decrease your health by what you choose to think, say, and listen to.

Eat as Natural as Possible

Generally speaking, it is healthier to eat plants as close to the way they were at harvest time as possible. Anything we do them after picking them, besides eat them, decreases their health value. Storage, heating, and removing and destroying nutrients during processing all decrease the health value available to our bodies.

There are exceptions like dried beans and mushrooms that we get more value from when we cook them. Soy beans are the most beneficial when cooked and fermented to destroy some less that desirable chemicals they contain.

God has put in most foods the nutrients needed to digest and use them. When those nutrients are removed like in the processing of sugar our bodies have to be robbed of nutrients to digest the product.

It contributes to health to have some fresh fruits and vegetables each day, not only for the important nutrients, fiber, and antioxidants they contain that are vital for health; but they also contain live enzymes that our bodies use for digestion and to carry on other body processes. The body must manufacture enzymes to digest cooked food, taking energy that could be used for other purposes, like strengthening the immune system.

We get the most benefits from nuts when they are raw. Frying them destroys some nutrients and needed omega-3 fatty acids.

What is the Truth about Saturated Fats?

    There is “very little evidence to support the contention that a diet low in cholesterol and saturated fat actually reduces death from heart disease or in any way increases one’s life span.” Fallon sites flaws and misinformation about numerous research studies and fat consumption life styles.
    For instance: The famous Framingham Heart Study which began in 1948 compared about 6000 people at 5 year intervals. Besides finding no correlation between eating saturated fat and heart disease, “After 40 years, the director of this study had to admit: …we found that the people who ate the most cholesterol, ate the most saturated fat, ate the most calories, weighed the least and were the most physically active.”
    Elevated triglycerides are not from saturated fats. “Elevated triglycerides in the blood have been positively linked to proneness to heart disease, but these triglycerides do not come directly from dietary fats; they are made in the liver from any excess sugars that have not been used for energy.
    A few of the ways saturated fats play many important roles in the body chemistry:
·    Constitute a least 50% of cell membranes, giving them necessary stiffness and integrity so they can function properly, are needed to utilize Omega-3 fatty acids which are another vital part of cell membranes
·    Needed to effectively incorporate calcium into the skeletal structure
·    Lowers Lp(a), a substance in the blood that indicates proneness to heart disease
·    Protects the liver from alcohol and other toxins

Key to Longer and Healthier Life

What is the key to living a longer healthier life? William H. Adler, M.D., chief of clinical immunology at National Institute of Aging, believes it is to build up your immune system.
    “It’s quite clear in rodents that you can manipulate the life span-both the average life span and the maximum life span- by fooling around with diets,” says James O’Leary, M.D., Ph.D., an assistant professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School. “The major factor is dietary restriction. If you allow rodents to eat what they want, their immune systems decline. If you under nourish the animals (by restricting calories) without them missing any important nutrients, they live longer.”
    They also seem to live better, reports Roy I. Walford, M.D., a professor of pathology at the UCLA School of Medicine. In one study he conducted, for example, 50 percent of fully fed mice developed cancers of one sort or another, but only 13 percent of the mice on restricted diets did. Other studies seem to indicate that animals on restricted diets also have fewer cataracts and less dry skin, kidney disease, and heart disease.
    How does this translate into human terms? Many scientists aren’t sure. But Dr. Walford, who has conducted much of the research in this area, believes that dietary restriction actually rejuvenates the immune system. He has personally restricted his own calorie intake.     Dr. Walford’s belief makes sense. The body has a limited amount of energy to expend. Energy used to digest high calorie, low nutrient foods takes away from energy that could be used to build up and maintain the immune system.   There is much scientific evidence that the condition of health and the aging process in humans are very much connected to the strength of the immune system.
