According to Gawker, a barely literate MySpace message was left regarding Sarah Palin snubbing the family of Levi Johnston, the burly, dewey-eyed simpleton who knocked up Bristol, because apparently they're "white trash." Pardon the cliche, but that is like the pot calling the kettle cheap, tawdry garbage.

The message was supposedly left by Mercede Johnston, Levi's 18-year-old sister, on the page of Mellissa Wilfong, a former Wasilla resident who now lives in Florida, to tell her about an upcoming trip to Orlando, according to Gawker.

I have seen Pollock paintings that were less chaotic than the grammatically bankrupt writing of Mercede, whom I’m guessing is best friends with Lexu. I swear the inhabitants of Wasilla are descendants of H.G Wells’s fictional Eloi.

The 'not so' Great Debate

Did anyone happen to notice the trippy, hypnotic tie donned by McCain? And the fact that it only said "Live" during the camera shots of Barack? I am sure it was completely accidental, but I thought it would be downright hilarious if MSNBC were trying to show the imbecilic swing voters which candidate was living. But that ****ing tie! That tie was a barber poll/candy stripe on acid.

The most interesting moment during the HOUR AND HALF of sheer circular logic was seeing McCain tweak and have mini strokes, although I guess that sort of happens when you demonize Barack for liberal spending when your ****ing empty-headed VPILF requested 27 million in earmarks to govern sticksville. My favorite moment, however, was when the topic of delivering broadband to rural areas came up. I mean, let’s start with teeth and books and work are way up.

On a more serious note, capturing and/or killing a 50 something asshole (or "folk" as Obama called him) on Dialysis is hardly relevant; the man has invincible mystique and passed the torch to a young, tech savvy generation of religious fanatics. It would make good fodder for youtube and put Giuliani out of a job, but that's about it.

With every passing day McCain is increasingly becoming the cantankerous, crotchety uncle living in the attic, wearing a tin foil cap and listening to Israeli Army Radio. I do believe that Obama missed several key opportunities to punish McCain, for example, McCain's drooling over his fondness for veterans after having fought against the new GI Bill and trying to reclaim respect for the Geneva Conventions despite having capitulated on the issue of torture earlier this year. But I am delighted that the debate delved into the realm of foreign affairs, demonstrating that the bush adminstration's thirst for global hegemony and military preponderancehas played an instrumental role in the deepening decline of our economy as it has taken monies away from domestic programs, e.g., 47 million without health insurance.

But whenever I see or read about an abysmal second rate actor with conservative leanings really pretending to pontificate on the abstruse, byzantine issues, my soul, brain,and heart all seem to want to collide with my taint. At the risk of dignifying a response to a man with nil credibility, if Norris was so au courant on what the soldiers want he would know that they are donating 6 to 1 in favor of Obama. That is all I will and can say in response to the guy who hawks exercise equipment at 3 am every nite. In fact, I am pretty sure that The Home Gym endorses Obama. In short, watching this man speak is like watching a really bad Chuck Norris movie.

Moreover, McCain is going with someone with elementary experience at best as a pointless pander to the 18 million disenfranchised Hillary supporters, and it aint working!

Once they learn that Sarah Palin opposes rape and incest exceptions for women seeking abortion, they completely write her off. Sarah Palin is to the movement for women's equality what Steven Segal is to acting. She's an extremist and an enemy to the cause that has been fought on her behalf. What confuses me beyond belief is if surface, cheerleading, nonthreatening appeal with shit for brains is what McCain was seeking, then he could've looked no further than his wife. You know she wasn't properly vetted because they would've told McCain that he's seeking a vice president, not a third piece of disposable eye candy.

How about that Cindy McCain? I swear she looked the Malibu Stacy patriotic collection. I still say that the award for most inadvertently funny speech goes to Mike Huckabee! All I heard was something about his Elvis and the electorate not deserving the right to carry desks around. All that was missing from that quintessentially southern nonsensical ramble was a park bench and a half eaten box of chocolates.

Now, her child's accidental pregnancy shouldn't be exploited--even though the Republicans thrive on opening up such non-issues--but I really wish they would stop saying that the Palins were ecstatic to hear the news. They were about as ecstatic when they heard the OJ verdict. Speaking of family values, a fellow blogger said that if your going to take on a super high power job.....maybe 5 kids isn’t the way to go. Her son may have down syndrome but she's ****ing retarded. She is against abortion.... thus the Down Syndrome child that could have been detected in the first 6 weeks and spared this poor child an existence as a special needs kid with a mom who has better things to do.

As far as maverick and independent thinking goes, 2000 Senator McCain is dead. I believe I wrote about his slow descent to the lunatic fringe long ago when he embraced one time "agent of intolerance" Jerry Falwell. John McCain's selection of Sarah Palin was designed to pacify dyed-in-the-wool conservatives' anxieties about many of McCain's liberal impulses (campaign finance reform, immigration, etc.)and thus mobilize the Dobson, Bauer, and Buchanan crowd. In short, he swiftly threw the independent crowd under the cheap talk express and they aint coming back.

It pretty much alludes to the fact that the McCain camp was ready for Lieberman. Phil Graham was even pushing hard for this pick. But the judgment was finally made that the social conservative base would be outraged (the main issue being Lieberman is pro-choice) and their lack of support would too drastically undercut McCain's chances.

She passed the crazy, conservative ideological litmus test with flying colors and that is why she's there. The fact that she she's hotter than Johnny's temper, well, that's what we call value-added.

Unbiased Reporting from Obama/Biden supporters

I realize the timing of this post might offend some diehard dems as it most certainly offended me. However, it would behoove us all to read this writer as she illustrates just how important thoughtful, objective criticism is essential in a democracy. I think a lot of peoples rational sides caves in when they hear the names Obama and Biden, I know mine does. Compared to Cheney "the schizophrenic homeless guy living at my bus stop would make a better vp", as she put it...but that doesn't mean Biden gets a free pass when he does something horrifically awful, like passing the 2005 Bankruptcy law whilst taking donations from credit card companies.Great reality check indeed! Here’s the post.

Like all years, this Democratic National Convention is touted as THE year that the Democrats will end that darn D.C. corruption and REALLY let the Republicans have it. For those of you who haven't been watching, it's the same stuff Kerry said at his DNC, and Gore, and Clinton, all the way back to that first morn at the dawn of time when an elephant stumbled into a dark, dank cave and raped a donkey.

When the constantly humming crowd hasn't been using Evan Bayh's speech time as a collective bathroom break, they've been parading around with AT&T swag. The tote bags given to DNC participants read "Denver2008" and beneath that rests the iconic AT&T globe. That is the same AT&T that willingly eavesdropped on American citizens and received immunity for the deed.

Now, AT&T is sponsoring the entire DNC for the same politicians that gave them their Get Out Of Jail Free cards. That is the same DNC that built this three-day PR charade on the premise that they are the new and improved Democrats - the Progressives - those blue knights on their stallions of "Hope" and "Change."

The conventions was billed as a "coming out" party for new, exciting political figures, their accessories, and some old Democratic dogs, who have learned new tricks, including Barack Obama, the suddenly anti-war Joe Biden, Michelle Obama, and the barely-repressing-their-rage Clintons.

Poor Michelle Obama managed to plow through her "DO YOU LOVE ME YET?!" speech without a major flub. She even looked like a loving wife and mother, and didn't publicly strike her daughter, Natasha, when the little girl enthusiastically yelled at the projected image of her father on stage. Michelle, again, passed her test with flying colors.

Of course, FOX will still speculate about her "dangerous" "anti-American" rhetoric. Michelle can wave all the flags she wants, but she'll still be portrayed as an "other." Certain Neo-Conservative, Australian CEOs of news conglomerates can't - and shouldn't - be negotiated with. Now is the time to embrace Michelle, tell her it's all going to be okay. Now is the time to tell Michelle that she can stop juggling the flaming clubs and get back to using her excellent mind on actual tasks aside from smiling and looking beautiful behind her husband.

But the last time I checked, the DNC isn't a pageant for First Ladies. It's about setting an exciting agenda for the Democrats' march toward the White House in November. It's about creating a $50 million security fusion center in the heart of Denver complete with presences from the Secret Service, FBI, State Department, and local law enforcement officials. The DNC is about keeping protesters in cages and beating the hell out of them if they escape. The DNC is about throwing the Blue Dogs a

The 2008 DNC is about rebranding "Bad Wars" (Iraq) as "Good Wars" (Afghanistan). The DNC is full of National Security Democrats like Joe Biden, who are so terrified of looking weak on defense that they can't even acknowledge that maybe we should bring home soldiers from Iraq AND Afghanistan because both wars are pointless and based on lies. Just as Iraq never attacked us on September 11, 2001, neither did Afghanistan.

To harp on this point for the eight millionth time: terrorists within a country's borders attacked us, not the country itself. Fire-bombing Afghani citizens is sort of like if the National Guard had invaded Pendleton, New York and bombed the hell out of it in the wake of the Oklahoma City bombing. Sure, Tim McVeigh was born in Pendleton and may have even began his love affair with explosives there, but that's not the citizens of Pendleton's fault.

Furthermore, fifteen of the 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, but the United States military never marched there to knock on King Abdullah's back door because Saudi Arabia is the world's leading petroleum exporter.

But I digress. Afghanistan = Good War. Iraq = Bad War. Afghanistan is just as much of a political and military quagmire as Iraq, but Barack Obama can't say that because then he'll look like a peace-loving hippy. Got it.

Things are so utterly ass-backwards at the DNC that the poster boy for the Progressive agenda has actually become Joe "MasterCard" Biden. I really can't blame the crowd for not seeing through Joe's deluge of bullshit. The man has the saddest backstory in the history of humankind. Everyone Joe has ever known has died in horrible fashions, his adorable mother coached him through a childhood stutter, and now his son is being sent over to Iraq. I hate Joe Biden and I sob when someone reads me his biography.

But his sad history doesn't make him a Progressive. The bank holding company, MBNA, is Biden's biggest political supporter having contributed $214,000 to his political career. These contributions led Biden to pen the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005, which Chris Dodd called "one of the worst bills ever." Biden then later voted "nay" on the G.I. Protection Amendment that would have prevented deployed soldiers from losing their homes to creditors.

At the convention, Bill Clinton remarked that Biden is a perfect match for Obama because of his "experience," the very thing Obama claims he doesn't need, it doesn't matter that John McCain has, and that "experience" thing can actually be a bad thing because Cheney and Rumsfeld have oodles of "experience," and look where that has led us.

However, Biden's experience includes being the architect of the drug war, which has been such a wildly unsuccessful cluster **** that literally the only good thing to emerge from the mismanaged juggernaut is the HBO series The Wire.

But maybe the DNC was never about Progressivism. Maybe it was about the Clintons and the good ole' days of NAFTA. Maybe it was about Hillary and her projectile vomit-inducing line about the "sisterhood of the traveling pantsuit". Maybe it about the silver fox, Bill Clinton, and his last moment to swagger and shine in front of his congregation.

Since I seem to have missed the point, let me suggest a name change. Instead of the Democratic National Convention, next time the powers that be should rename the event the 2012 Clinton AT&T NAFTA MasterCard WE LOVE AMERICA, DIE TERRORISTS DIE Convention. Then, at least one truth will exist at the convention, and it will be in the title.

Biden for VP

With economic distress so high, and with John McCain claiming national security as his trump card, Democrats may again be tempted to play down foreign affairs so they can turn the election into a fight over domestic questions about which McCain has had little to say.

Evading national security, says Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.), would be a disastrous mistake. "The only way we lose this election is not to engage this issue head-on," Biden said during an interview in his Capitol office the day after Obama clinched the nomination. Democrats, Biden said, should be "proactive" and not "play defense on foreign affairs" because "the case against McCain and Bush on national security is so overwhelming. . . . It should be an essential part of the case for the Democratic nominee."

Biden should be at the top of any list of vice presidential picks for Obama. Why Biden? In part because of where he took our discussion: Few Democrats know more about foreign policy, and few would so relish the fight against McCain on international affairs. Few are better placed to argue that withdrawal from Iraq will strengthen rather than weaken the United States.

The worst thing in a running mate is the fear of muddying his or her image in political combat. Biden would be a happy warrior.

He was born in Scranton, Pa., an essential state for Democrats, and has been a regular in the Philadelphia media market. Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, himself a plausible No. 2, has called Biden "a perfect fit." The senator has been through two of his own presidential campaigns, in which he experienced what an acquaintance of his called the "white-hot heat" of scrutiny.

Biden is Catholic and hails from a blue-collar world, two constituencies with which Obama needs help. The chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and former chairman of the Judiciary Committee, Biden speaks with real learning on international affairs and the judiciary -- the next vacancies on the Supreme Court should be a big issue in this campaign -- while never sounding like an elitist.

But the central reason to pick Biden is the message the choice would send about Obama's readiness to contest national security issues and his understanding that fixing American foreign policy must be one of the next president's highest priorities.

Biden has been critical of Bush's approach to Iraq and the world for the right reasons, and from the beginning. In the fall of 2002, he tried, with Republican Sens. Chuck Hagel and Richard Lugar, to pass a more modest war resolution that put additional constraints on Bush. Richard Gephardt, the House Democratic leader then, short-circuited the effort by cutting a deal with the president. Even before the war began, Biden was warning of the costs of a lengthy occupation and predicting a decade-long intervention.

He is also frank about his misunderstanding of what Bush would do. At one point, he thought Bush was reluctant to start a war.

"I vastly underestimated the total incompetence of this crew," he says. "I could not fathom that they would do what they did under the circumstances they did it."

To restore its strength and influence, the United States needs to return to the realistic internationalism of FDR, Truman and, yes, the first President Bush. Whether or not Obama picks Biden in the coming days, he should listen to what Biden is saying. Obama can't sidestep the foreign policy debate. He has to win it.

The US's role in the crisis in Georgia

Georgia and Russia are careening towards war. And the U.S. isn't exactly a detached observer in the fight. The American military has been training and equipping Georgian troops for years.

The news thus far: Georgia, which has been mired in a internecine battle war over the separatist region of Abkhazia, has launched an offensive to reclaim another breakaway territory, South Ossetia. Latest reports indicate that Georgian forces are laying siege to Tskhinvali, the South Ossetian capital. And Russia, which has backed the separatists, is sending in the tanks.

So why should a nation facing one of the greatest economic crises on record care one iota about a distant problem. I mean, most Americans hear war in Georgia and think that involves Mississippi. Perhaps it could be the prospect of a larger regional war that could drag in Russia – and involve the United States as well. Since early 2002, the U.S. government has given a healthy amount of military aid to Georgia.

The first U.S. aid came under the rubric of the Georgia Train and Equip Program (ostensibly to counter alleged Al Qaeda influence in the Pankisi Gorge); then, under the Sustainment and Stability Operations Program. Georgia returned the favor, committing thousands of troops to the multi-national coalition in Iraq. Last fall, the Georgians doubled their contingent, making them the third-largest contributor to the coalition. Not bad for a nation of 4.6 million people.

According to a Aurelian Rus, a political scientist and lecturer at Rutgers University, "Russia provoked Georgia through border attacks, Georgia got provoked and advanced in South Ossetia, Russia retaliated and went far into Georgia. The encouragement for Saakashvili came not only from Cheney (Condi Rice strongly discouraged him from attacking, while Bush was, well, "not into this issue"), but also from Zbigniew Brzezinski. Even more significantly, Soros money was key in propelling Saakashivili rather than some other type of leader in the forefront of the anti-Shevardnadze movement. The "put the blame on Bush" type arguments of Keith Olbermann et al., while not without some merit, and the attacks on Obama from some of his own supporters (in the tradition of their criticism of Obama for his endorsement of the faith-based programs) for being too tough on Russia are very scary for many Eastern-European Americans. In short, the crisis in Georgia was the inevitable casualty in the post-soviet world, with the US and Russia now in a race to control the world’s untapped oil reserves. McCain's continued belligerence and bellicosity in response to the situation indicates that he isn't partial to war, whether cold or hot. It is a blatant effort by the McCain campaign to seize on the events overseas to appear presidential and in command on the world stage, from a guy who thinks the Czech Republic is Czechslovakia.

OMG! McCain said what about Obama, Courtney?

Realizing that he clearly cannot win on the issues, the McCain camp recently engaged in a rather unique brand of character assassination when it likened Barack Obama to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton in a recent attack ad. Now, I get that he jettisoned any effort to keep the public discourse substantive a long time ago; hence, the reason why he has only attacked Obama and not articulated his own positions . . . but I don't think creating an ad (poorly) that compares the democratic presidential candidate to a washed-up, perpetually pregnant retard is the best energy plan. Stay tuned next week to hear McCain's position on healthcare when he releases an ad comparing the Illinois to Hannah Montana.

Just because Mr. Obama exhibits extraordinary and superior linguistic skills while John McCain sounds like a toy soldier with the batteries dying doesn't mean that you can't call him out on other things. We get it: he's an electrifying speaker!! Now tell me again why he's a stealth Muslim??

Now, having originally supported Joe Biden and blogged on his page I will be the first person to acknowledge that Barack Obama is dangerously lacking foreign policy bona fides. But since winning the democratic nomination Senator Obama his shown a keen interest in foreign policy so as to silence his critics and pacify doubters (I am one). You see, in recent months, McCain sandbagged Obama by saying it was vital that Obama visit Iraq and the greater Middle East. Little did the blusterous corpse know that his opponent would not only visit the failed state, but make McCain look like the clueless, senescent, ornery Bushite that he’s quickly becoming.

The breathtakingly, phenomenally moronic gaffes made by McCain in respects to international affairs as of late makes Obama look like, well, Joe Biden when it comes to foreign affairs.

Oh Boy. Where do I begin with this one.

What Staler from Staler and Wardoff doesn’t know is that The CZECH REPUBLIC is a pluralist multi-party representive democracy that peacefully spilt into two separate nations following the bloodless velvet revolution in 1989. And Why would McSame to know that? After all, President bush thinks the velvet revolution was when Linens & Things ran that all day sale.

His claim that Iraq and Pakistan share a border.

Perhaps this is why Mr. McCain so vigorously supported the war in 2003 thinking that Bin Laden would cross the rugged tora bora mountainous region and fall into downtown Baghdad! It doesn’t exactly take an expert cartographer to tell you that Pakistan shares a border with its Sunni ally Afghanistan. You should’ve known that Mr. McMilitary Strategist.

His claim that Somalia is the same place as Sudan.

See above. Somalia, the lawless, ungovernable failed state is actually located in the horn of Africa whereas the human rights catastrophe that his engulfed Darfur, Sudan is actually considered to be located in Sahara Africa. Why would we expect McSame to know that? After all, President Bush thinks Somalia is a delicious lunch meat.

His claim that Vladimir Putin is the president of Germany.

You would think that the man who once condemned the actions of Putin for his interference in the Ukranian national election as well as cutting off energy supplies to former FSRs now aligned with NATO would know that once presided over Russia. The current head of state is Dmitry Medvedev, a puppet whom the international community universally agrees will maintain Putin’s autocratic policies (kind of like McCain with Bush). Hey, at least he didn’t say the Soviet Union!

His Claim that Iran is supporting Al-queda

In what was supposed to highlight his foreign policy acumen, and his supporters hoped that it would showcase him in a series of statesmanlike meetings with world leaders throughout the Middle East and Europe while the Democratic candidates continued to squabble back home, McCain’s past visit to Iraq couldn’t look any lamer. He man seems to feel that Shia Iran is collaborating with its sworn enemy in Sunni Al-queda. I really think he should lose his shuffleboard privileges for this one.

A Letter to Anti-Obama People

Dear Anti-Obama people,

While I appreciate all of your enthusiasm and rigor as it pertains to the upcoming election, I respectfully have to disagree with some, a lot, okay all of your statements regarding the presumptive democratic nominee. If recent political history has taught us anything, it’s that braggadocio, big-stick unilateralist foreign policy has only emboldened our enemies. I will readily admit that Mr. Obama’s complete and utter lack of foreign policy–i.e., how he barely attends meetings on the subcommittee on European Affairs that he chairs–is quite worrisome, uneasy as we are with the prevalence of nuclear proliferation and rogue states. His dearth in international affairs experience is precisely why I initially supported Joe Biden and blogged for him. Now, Obama’s lacking foreign policy bona fides is why Joe Biden was the number one name on Jim Johnson’s short list.

Iran’s quest for the bomb is pragmatic and nationalistic; with the power vacuum created by the ouster of Pan-Arabist strong man Saddam Hussein, Iran aggressively seeks to assert itself as not only a regional hegemon, but a world power. While I don’t believe that the NIE report that came out late last year in which indicated that Iran had "halted its development of nuclear (not ‘nucular’) weapons" should not mean we act complacent in the face of this rising fundamentalist power, but I strongly believe that the neocon hawks are intentionally exaggerating Ahmadinejad’s significance. Look, a comparative analysis will show you that Iran has a thriving young, highly westernized population and technocratic class, which became more viable during the reformist years of Khatami. The Iranians, much like their American counterparts, greatly distrust their government and are quite weary of its bravado and hubris. It should probably be noted that Iran’s president has little if any real power; furthermore, he is nothing more than a titular figurehead. Following the Islamic revolution, the Iranian constitution was set up to give the Guardian council and supreme religious leader (ayatollah) the ultimate authority. The election of Ahmadinutjob was indelible proof that our foreign policy was bankrupted I that region. Instead of working closely with Iran’s secular opposition movement, we chose to secretly plan a military coup de tat in the MEK (a radical anti-ran militant group) all the while maligning it as a sponsor of terrorism (The U.S. State Department lists the Mujahadeen-e-Khalq as a terrorist organization for its association with Saddam Hussein’s Iraqi regime until the dictator’s ouster by the U.S.led invasion in 2003.)

The argument that Iran acquiring a bomb will create a new ace for the bomb completely lacks merit on face value, as South Africa and Brazil have been itching for the same capabilities prior to the Iraq invasion and Iran’s subsequent ascendancy. A scenario that’s intellectually plausible is the following: The Saudis have gone nuclear (The us government recently provided them with billions of dollars in nuclear deal). So have the Egyptians. Both countries had been signatories to the NPT (Non-proliferation Treaty), but that accord has now disintegrated. Riyadh and Cairo acquired their nuclear weapons from Pakistan, a Sunni ally, in response to the nuclear threat poised by Iran–a new MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) in the era of religious fundamentalism. At the same time, Iraq continues to explode, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is far from settled, and Iranian proxies remain ensconced within Lebanon’s incendiary sectarian mix–a mix that pits Sunni against Shia and just so happens to exist along the Israeli border. A rested and renergized Al-queda–thanks to Bush pursuing a petty vendetta in Iraq– now have a new breeding ground within which to launch its terrorist operations. In short, all the key players in the Middle East–Sunni, Shia, Israeli–now has nuclear weapons at a moment when the simmering and, and in some cases, quite open conflicts between regions’ states, sects, and ethnicities are too innumerable to count.

That is a scenario in which radical pre-millennial dispensationalists in the bush camp as well as Lieberman and John McCain are praying to their invisible space ghost in the sky for. These radical neocons seek perpetual asymmetrical warfare as a golden opportunity to finally realize their apocalyptic agenda of perpetual warfare, fought not by conventional armies or Israel, but rather mercenary private contractors (IE, blackwater). McCain understands that he cannot get elected without the support of Bush’s dirty defense contractor buddies so he will do anything and say anything to get these Machiavellian lunatics on his side, hopefully pursuing a rational anti-bush agenda upon being elected.

Another rattle-sabering, fear-based argument with which we are so frequently bombarded is that Iran will wipe Israel off the map with its new found nuclear capabilities. What we aren’t bombarded with is the fact that Israel has several weapons of its own.

According to the Guardian, After decades in which Israel has stuck to a doctrine of nuclear ambiguity, Mr. Olmert let slip during an interview in Germany that Israel did indeed have weapons of mass destruction.

He told Germany’s Sat.1 channel on Monday evening: "Iran, openly, explicitly and publicly, threatens to wipe Israel off the map. Can you say that this is the same level, when they are aspiring to have nuclear weapons, as America, France, Israel and Russia?"

In case you missed that, Israel is a full blown nuclear state. Even though Iran’s religious leaders subscribe to Twelver Shia Islam–an ideology in which inspires its followers to instigate the apocalypse and bring about the return the 12th Imam–they would be crazier than Shiite house to underestimate Israel’s second strike capabilities. The entire cold war was prefaced on the idea of deterrence being used to thwart one state from obliterating the other; hence, it would appear as though Iran would exercise the same caution as its soviet friends did. After all, Iran ended its brutal 8-year war with neighboring Iraq after Saddam used chemical weapons on Iran which, ironically enough, were supplied to him by the US–facilitated by Donald Rumsfeld.

In short, the rise of Iran is a constant reminder of Bush’s failed Iraq invasion and why the rule of unintended consequences matters. Iran’s quest for nuclear weapons should most definitely be thwarted, only with aggressive diplomacy and not with military action, as McCain, Lieberman, and the other conservative hawks would have it. Lieberman and McCain are way too smart to be playing this scary game. I guess this is just one issue where we’ll have to agree to disagree

New Yorker-Gate

Understanding nonetheless appreciating satire in a country that hansomely rewards big money to the dude kicked in the crotch the hardest by his overactive ADHD kid and kudos is awarded to the douche that put it up on you tube is a total pipedream. The problem is not the cartoon, but rather that our nation is more satire deprived than sleep deprived. I beleive that the cover played brillaintly into the most stereotypes that americans are so comfortable with and hesitant to challenge. Thus, I would say the american people failed here, not the new yorker. The New Yorker was doing what it does best--playing the role of progressive and intellectual provocateur.

Indeed, Obama was relentlessly excoriated by McCain and Hillary for explaining this voting phenomenon. But since Obama dispatched Clinton, he has seemed rather more attuned to what the people want to hear or perhaps he has simply traded the wants of a liberal audience for those of a more moderate one. Either way, he is treading that reliably time-worn path every nominee follows to the political center. Barack knows that his leftist rhetoric during the primaries--no flag pins, opposing guns, etc.--doesn't stand a chance in the general election. Thus, he's now in an all out race to pacify disaffected republicans as well as blue dog, working class, lunch bucket Dems by moving towards the center (i.e., pandering to AIPAC, tacitly supporting supreme courts 5-4 decision on gun ownership, and reversing stance on death penalty).

In brief, he's a politician running for president. I just "hope" that he issues the New Yorker an apology after winning.

A Memo to the 23 Percent

In the just-released Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg Poll, the president won approval from 23% of all registered voters. 23 percent?! There aren’t that many people serving in his cabinet. So to the tiny fraction of voters still living in fantasy land, allow me to induce you to join the rest of the country in reality town.

The Lesser of Two Evils Myth

Many people believe that voting for someone other then a "major" candidate is a wasted vote. I can't begin to count the number of people that I have heard say: "I agree with the minor candidate's positions, but I won't vote for him/her because it would be a wasted vote since they are "unelectable." What causes people to think like this?

Possibly because they believe that their vote actually counts? If one were to vote Republican or possibly Democratic, Libertarian, Green or even no vote at all, would that have any effect on the outcome of the election? This is highly unlikely.

So why do people think that their vote actually counts? Are they in denial? Or are they simply ignorant of a thing called mathematics? If you actually do the math, one has a better chance of winning the lottery then one has of affecting the outcome of a presidential election. If you vote to affect the outcome, you're far more foolish than your neighbor who buys a lottery ticket to win the jackpot. On the other hand, maybe your neighbor isn't so foolish after all. Maybe he's playing the lottery just for the fun of it, clearly understanding that he has no realistic chance of winning.

So what do you do when neither of the two major parties or candidates actually represent your own beliefs? What exactly is a wasted vote? A wasted vote occurs when a voter is "forced" to vote for the "lesser of two evils" instead of expressing his or her true political beliefs. Isn't voting for someone who does not represent your own beliefs a wasted vote?

Predicting the Outcome of the War in Iraq

Four years after the United States invaded Iraq, Iran is ascendant partially due to high gas prices and regional hegemony, many in the region view the Americans in retreat, and Arab countries, their own feelings of impotence punctuated, are awash in sharpening sectarian currents that many blame the United States for exacerbating.

Iran has deepened its relationship with Palestinian Islamic groups, assuming a financial role once filled by Iraq, in moves it sees as defensive and the United States views as aggressive. In Lebanon and Iraq, Iran is fighting proxy battles against the United States with funds, arms and ideology. And in the vacuum created by the U.S. overthrow of Iranian foes in Afghanistan and Iraq, it is powerfully exerting a prestige reminiscent of the heady days of the 1979 Islamic revolution, when Iranian clerics led the toppling of a U.S.-backed government. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran's messianic and fiery leader, isn't all that favorable at home however. Many Iranians, particularly its well-educated members, are increasingly troubled by his braggadocio and foreign extravagances.

It's painstakingly obvious that the US invasion and subsequent occupation of Iraq has given rise to Shiite supremacy. At the core of the Shia resurgence lies a fiesty firebrand in Muquta Al Sadr, viewed by many as the legitimate ruler of Iraq. Prior to the invasion Mr. Muqtada's Mahdi army was a but a small nuisancewith Sunni power well in tact. Now, the capricious cleric is perhaps the most influential person, with a large supply of adorning followers that routinely practice his militant anti-American message. Muquata is doing to Iraq what Hassan Nasrallah did to Lebanon more than twenty years ago when he formed Hezbollah following the Israeli invasiona militant group that employs terrorism to resist Israel, which, not surprisingly, is on the State Department's list of groups that sponsor and/or engage in terrorism. Like his predecessor in Iraq his fiery sermons drew the admiration of the uneducated and dispossessed. The only difference between the two is Mr. Nasrallah carved out a reputation on his own while Mr. Al Sadr came to prominence by riding the coattails of his father Mohammed Al Sadr.

After going into hiding in neighboring Iran so as to avoid being targeted in the Baghdad security drivePresident George Bush's vaunted "surge that was just starting, he appears to have returned to vamp up his anti-American message. Many argue that the fervent leader is exploiting the cult-like dedication he inspires among his legion of mainly poor and uneducated Shia believers to evoke the image of the Shias' "hidden imam" whose reappearance on earth is assumed to foretell an era of peace and justice, which is analogous in respects to premillenialismin Christian eschatology is the belief that Christ will literally reign on the earth for 1,000 years after his second coming. Not surprisingly, in order for this occur conditions in the temporal must worsen; hence, politics is futile. This radical ideology is supported and entertained in America by such irrational madmen as Jerry Fallwell. This very radical and unthinking belief is the cornerstone of the ruling mullahs in Iran, so the very notion of appearing in Iraq is worrisome but inevitable.

So the question is will his return to Iraq sabotage American objectives and instigate a full-blown theocracy, or will it be quashed by American and Iraqi security forces. I'm afraid with Iraqi forces so helplessly inadequate and American forces overstretched and enervated, the former seems more likely.

Political Propaganda and Voter Choice

This Republican administration has conceived a scheme so wily and Machiavellian, it's a pity Bush is ineligible to run again. These villainous thugs have discovered they can plunder the country blind, violate the nation's laws, and lie their asses off-all while governing incompetently-and get away unscathed as long as they invoke the unfailing, almighty words of "national security." And I'm not talking about Guiliani's lovely campaign pitch, "Vote for me or become obliterated radioactive dust" either. I'm talking about the classic tool of right-wing propaganda of attacking peoples emotions, only to play the dastardly juvenile game of the bratty, disobedient kid who denied taking the cookie from the cookie jar by blaming a bratty but innocent kid.

The formula is simplicity itself: If someone asks why you did something, you candidly reply, "It was necessary to keep America safe." Similarly, if you are asked why you want to do something, then you can't go wrong with "It is necessary to keep America safe" or some Fox-tested alternative, such as "It is necessary to fight America's enemies." So we praise Sudan despite current credible news of them surreptitiously doing arms deals in the war-ravaged conflict zone of Darfur because Terrorists are mean and that makes the President sad.

After all, quasi-patriotism is the best thing to happen to the GOP since the bow-tie.

It's quite unfortunate that it's socially unacceptable to just come out and publicly say, for instance, that Messrs. Dick Cheney and Rudy Guiliani are only acting when they wax patriotic and claim to be fighting our enemies and working to make America stronger. It's about as socially unacceptable as coming out of the closet, and let's face it-the rate at which Republicans are becoming gay is so prodigious that Halliburton was awarded a no-bid contract to build the GOP a bigger closet. If only America could declare that the bloated plutocrats in the White House are not even politicians, definitely are not leaders, and certainly do not have the interest of America at heart.

Let's face it-they owe their allegiance to the people and companies with whom they do business. Bush owes his so called "mandate" in 2004 to the Pharmaceutical Industry, the Defense Industry, and daddy's friends in the oil industry.

But it's virtually impossible (sorry Dennis Kucinich) for all of America to collectively, universally rebuke this administration for all of its misdeeds and public malfeasance. Well, maybe during a commercial break. What we should expect, though, is for the newly empowered opposition party to toss around subpoenas like crisp dollar bills at a D.C. Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey soiree. Henry Waxman, I'm looking at you. Are the democrats so timorous and punctilious to throw a few brickbats every once in a millennium? Hey, Democratic Chairman Howard Dean did a great deal of that in 2005 and I have yet to see a public revolt. Is our best taught mechanism for dealing with said Republican egregiousness making stentorian speeches full of righteous indignation?

America articulated its anger in the voting booth back in November; it's time that you guys start articulating yours.

Karl Rove's Resignation

Karl Rove a.k.a. "Turd Blossom" (they even managed to spin the meaning of turd) may have decided to leave, but his divisive tactics aren't checking out any time soon. Mr. Turd (for brevity's sake) devoted his entire tenure in Washington to ensuring that every American was benighted to his boss's noisome policies. In order to pull off such massive deceit, Mr. Turd used fraud, trickery, manipulation, fear-mongering, voter disenfranchisement, intimidation, lawbreaking, influence-peddling, cover-ups and hypocrisy. And that's just the first four years.

As Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfiwitz and Donald Rumsfeld were attacking our emotions with classic right-wing propaganda Mr. Turd was devising a scheme of his own to maintain party rule at home. For example, Mr. Turd once audaciously accused the Democrats of offering therapy and understanding to our attackers as well as disingenuously warning them days before the election in 2004 that a vote for John Kerry would increase the likelihood of a terror attack, thus hoodwinking Americans into believing that their safety would be at risk if they pulled the lever for a democrat. Now this was obviously patent balderdash to politically astute voters; however, to the many miserably uninformed voters it was a rallying cry. The results of the 2004 election spawned a map of color-coded representations of states' partisanship in the form or blue or red, with red symbolizing warmongering and homophobia and blue symbolizing diplomacy and reason. Mr. Turd was therefore successful at dividing the country.

In summation, celebrating the departure of Mr. Turd, although understandable, does not ensure a sweeping democratic victory. The foundation has been laid out, and it's surely to be used by the many Karl Roves of the Republican party. Whether it's Hillary Clinton, Barak Obama, John Edwards, or Joe Biden, they mustn't allow themselves to fall prey to Rove-like attacks. This means they must deflect smears right out of the gates without appearing wishy-washy and insipid.

Jena-6 Reflections and possible Hidden Agenda

The whole debacle leaves a disgusting taste in my mouth. While the notion of the noose may not be as poignant up here in the north (the states that matter) it's quite the contrary in the south, where an images of the noose immediately invoke poignant memories. The stupid, white bumpkins (and that's an understatement) of the south still claim to have won the civil war. So I say let them have it, just as long as they take Texas too!

Was it a hate crime? You bet! Is gratuitous six on one violence against one of the perpetrators of the hate crime a valid and justified response? Absolutely not! In my view, the six black youths blatantly flouted the justice system when they chose to violently beat this one stupid redneck. Rather than doing what's proper and necessary, i.e., bringing their grievance up through the appropriate channel, they instead took the cowardly route by ganging up on one stupid redneck. Now, not being black myself I cannot imagine what it must feel like to be reminded of one of the most appalling moments in our nation's history. However, if wanton vigilantism is your response in the face of this egregious act, then you shouldn't be shocked when you're not treated fairly in court. Am I wrong?

Furthermore, how am I to seriously bear into consideration the austerity of the situation when the two biggest demagogues and dividers(Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton) are destroying its credibilty. Trying to transition from "nappy headed hos" to Jena 6 is like going from talking about Brittany shaving her head to the nuclear crisis in Iran.

Same-Sex Californication

For a couple of weeks California has been the focus of a lot of media attention not for flaming fires, but for flaming fags (lesbians aren’t flaming?)

Indeed, California made history this past week by sanctioning same-sex marriages, and gay and lesbian couples rushed to tie the knot. California is now the second state in the union, behind Massachusetts (no pun intended), to legally allow recognition of gay marriage; whereas NJ, Vermont, Connecticut affords the benefits of marriage but without legal recognition.

Not only is the state letting its own residents say "I do," but same-sex couples from around the country can marry in California. (Massachusetts legalized same-sex marriage in 2004, but has residency restrictions.) As a result of this generous concession, gay men and women alike have been taking to the fabulous skies en masse, eagerly anticipating their soon to be consummated courtships.

Repeat of 2004?

Politically speaking, McCain and the GOP will undoubtedly try and make this a weapon of mass distraction in the coming general election. Forget the economy–an issue over which McCain faulters- Iraq, the environment, health care, restoration of the constitution and respect for international law. There’s a distinct chance of the unsuspecting electorate voting against johnny kissing johnny (except in airport bathrooms).

Obama declares victory...Hillary declares fight for VP will never end!

Hillary's superior name recognition, vast war chest, and seasoned campaign apparatus stood in complete denial of itself for the last time, as Barack Obama clinched victory earlier tonite in the Democratic presidential race.

Since she couldn’t beat the guy with Hussein as a middle name, Hillary desires to be his VP. Oh really? I love you Hilary. I really do. I even voted for you in my states primary way back in February, which, ironically enough, would’ve served you better if it was kept on June 3. Contrary to what South Dakotans and Montanans (?) think, you on the ticket is about as likely as you on Bill’s top eight. Ted Kennedy thought so and he has brain cancer. BTW, our beloved funny speaking senator from Mass. is recuperating well after receiving chemo treatments.

An Obama-Biden Ticket?

So much has happened in the realm of politics in the past couple of weeks that to absorb it all without leading to an early coronary mishap is next to impossible. It would take a years supply of Ipecac just to digest this week. John Edwards, the way too good looking to be a politician who fights split ends more than poverty, officially ended his neutral reticence when he officially endorsed Obama as the candidate to hand John McCain his cut up and blendered political meat. Now does this seemingly carefully crafted endorsement imply that Obama will choose the cutesy southerner to once again use his geographical significance to balance the ticket? While North Carolina may prove to be a critical electoral grab, you can count on Barack choosing Edwards in as much as Edwards choosing to run with Obama. In other wards, the chances of that happening are about as likely as Hillary Clinton sharing the presidential bedroom with Bill. On the contrary, if Obama is going to be able to match McCain's foreign policy experience, maddeningly illogical tough it may be, he is going to have to pick the dude with the most gravitas and sharpest voice on foreign policy in the gang of 535. Joe Biden, of course being that man.

Now, many of you may be thinking, "why on earth would Obama choose to pick the guy that thinks he's clean and articulate?" The answer is simple. Joe Biden is a elder statesman with a gusto, wit and diplomatic prowess that goes unmatched. Moreover, choosing Joe Biden will allow him to stay to true to his 'message of hope' and 'politics of civility,' while Joe can excoriate McCain's complete and utter lack of worldly vision. Shit – have you heard the man speak? The dude's criticisms of bush’s failures and the fear-monger posturing of the neocons is so ****ing poetic that it is only a mater of time when Hallmark catches up.

If he thinks this is appeasement, is he going to come back and fire his own cabinet?"

I don't know about you, but this is the type of backbone that the Democratic nominee is going to need should he overcome the myriad of 527 attack ads (a.k.a "The Wright Express"). Hell, he might even convince the DNC to give the Donkey a spine.

Hilrod Wins West Virginia

Clinton beat Obama by a bruising 67 to 26 percent in West Virginia, with 100 percent of the vote counted. I believe she'll include her triumphant win in the epilogue of in her upcoming book entitled the audacity of hopelessness.

If Jesus Christ or the Virgin Mary appeared on a darker piece of toast, West Virginians would run to Barack faster than a Jeff Gordon signing at the flee market. Those provincial, miserably uninformed simpletons detest blacks, women, and anyone with teeth more than literacy. They are caught in a time warp and some probably still believe Bill Clinton is still president. I believe they just got the telegraph yesterday. In a state where having hot, kinky sex with your cousin and a GED are status symbols, I would hardly call winning West Virginia a victory of upmost importance. Such constituencies are particularly susceptible to voting against their own economic and political self-interests out of petty emotion. For example, West Virginians vigorously supported Bush in 2004, a money republican from Connecticut, because Karl rove, realizing that terrorism in West Virginia is a sale that not even he's capable of, instead got same-sex marriage on the ballot. In short, it's just such a shame to see an intelligent person as Hillary play to the lowest common denominator just to sabotage Obama's chances, ensuring a McCain victory and positioning herself for 2012 when McCain is way too old to win reelection.

The Bitter Remark

Barack Obama has been the subject of orchestrated attacks from right-wing media outlets over some comments he made regarding the political behavior of Pennsylvanian voters. Oh, wait, did I say right-wing media outlets? I really meant to say Hillary Clinton.

Now, we are quite aware of the calculating nature and disingenuous posturing of Senator Clinton, and how she’ll dissimulate her true political feelings on any given subject ( i.e., all the American idol contestants are winners) so as not to alienate a potential voter bloc (i.e., bitter bowlers). When she’s not gallantly dodging hostile Bosnian fire (no wonder 50 cent endorsed her), she’s fearlessly walking through fire to rescue sick puppies and orphans from being executed and devoured by Idi Amin. In short, Hillary will pretty much say anything to get elected.

However, I believe Hillary has reached a new level of a desperation or "computer glitch" in smearing her opponent as "elitist, divisive and out of touch with real Americans" while she outdrinks Spuds McKenzie and reminisces about killing animals with her daddy. She should really drink abstemiously; she could look like this

In taking a page out of the Rovian handbook, Hilary is doing the job of every demagogic right-winger, and in doing so will only see her support wither should she magically secure the nomination. Her vitriolic reaction to Obama’s comments is reminiscent of when the chickenhawks excoriated John Kerry for his ‘getting bogged down in Iraq’ botched joke, although Obama was making a lucid political commentary and showed refreshing candor.

In an effort to plumb the depths of frustration on the part of people in small towns in particular, Obama said these folks often turn to religion, guns, and illegal immigrant bashing to vent their anger over economic uncertainty and fear. Sen. Hillary Clinton pounced on the man she's been steadily losing ground to and denounced his comments as "elitist and condescending." I only wonder if she crafted her responses while chugging decidedly blue-collar crown royal in one of her multi-million dollar mansions after taking a much needed rest from toiling over counting the $110 million that she and Bill made over the past seven years.

In an excellent show of political acumen, Obama was merely trying to explain why middle class Americans would vote against their own economic self-interest. If the economy the issue the hot potato issue right behind celebrities in rehab, it is common sense that pretty much all middle-class small-town American would vote Democrats. After all, democrats want to lower taxes for the middle class, make health care and education more affordable, help solve the housing crisis, close tax loopholes for colossal MNCs and obscenely wealthy people to finance social services and finance social security and medicare, etc . . .

So then why do they vote for brain dead retard who pose as common brain dead retards all the while being an ivy league legacy elitist brain dead retard.

It's because they know that the beltway is much too concerned with short termism and incrementalism in order to maintain incumbency. As Obama correctly stated, small-town middle-class American have seen their jobs going away for the last 25 years. Politicians have promised that these jobs would come back but they never have. Invariably, they all begin to think that Washington is ignoring them like a bill to ban strip clubs and is blatantly lying to them about economic issues. Consequently, they become so overemotional that they turn to divisive social issues (guns, god , etc.).

War More Years

If there’s any indication that we are marred in chaos indefinitely, or as I put it ” up Shiite creek with no paddle,” it is in John McCain’s ludicrous statements from the stump (”A Hundred Years”). These startling statements reveal a man so detached from reality and so utterly afraid to confront Hilary and Obama on the economy, an issue he readily admits little knowledge of, that the so called maverick has no other choice but to tout the surge. Scary enough, a lot of Americans are still miserably uninformed when it comes to Iraq. For example, more Americans than ever before - 42 percent - say the troop surge in Iraq has made things better, the percentage of Americans who say the war is going well is now ten points higher than it was in September of last year and, worse yet, twenty-eight percent of Americans still believe Saddam was personally involved in the Sept. 11 attacks.

This radical and seemingly inconceivable disconnect implies that Americans aren’t paying attention, and why should they? The coverage of the war has dropped precipitously — down to 3 percent of available news space and air time this year, according to the Project for Excellence in Journalism. Indeed, war coverage did make a comeback last week ( no Govs Gone Wild?) because of the American death toll reaching 4000, which I suppose reflects the media’s affinity for round,easy numbers (3,557 is fluff; bring out the horny governors!)

Enter Barack and Hillary (she still in it?)

In order to demystify the belief that the surge is working, Messrs. Barack and Hillary are going to have to do more than call for vague timetables. Rather, the candidates will have to constantly remind Americans of the astronomical costs for this monumental foreign policy blunder, link it to the crumbling domestic economy, and offer real and imaginative solutions in the face of a war hero while simultaneously highlighting McCain’s gaffes (the Iran/Sunni connection) on the issue. In short, they will have to demonstrate that gravitas and war hero status, although admirable and noteworthy, do not equate to sound and reasoned judgement.

Breaking down Obama

So John Kerry endorses Barack Obama? Is it just me or do the Democrats always seem to find defeat in the jaws of victory? At any consolation, the ascendancy of Senator Obama shows they’ve come up with new and improved strategies of losing elections. The rapid rise of the first electable African American presidential candidate and the beguiling awe he brings each and every time he addresses throngs of diverse supporters is unquestionably a story book–with or without the approval of Oprah. Seriously, one would be amiss (*cough douchebag) to discount the greatness of this guy. The innumerable amount of Americans disenchanted with the ruinous state of the country, the naird image abroad, and the cynical Washington mentality are easily enthralled and seduced by Barack’s refreshingly straightforward rhetoric. Indeed, Senator Obama’s message does transcend partisan politics: his opponents on the republican side are now using change as their stated strategy, despite the fact that it’s more of an oxymoron than anarchy.com.

On Jan. 3, corn fondlers chose Barack Obama, the feel good candidate of the year who talks of hope and change but whose specific goals upon being elected are narrowly limited to pulling out of Iraq with little regard to the repercussions to the Iraqis we devastated. For my part, Iowa’s voice is similar to that of a teenager who was just grounded on prom; they’ll do anything just to piss off their parents. Hillary Clinton of course is the parent. I think it’s great that Iowa debunked Hillary’s campaign–a campaign seen as a shoe in from when she announced it . . . in the womb. And while I realize that Joe Biden was essentially campaigning to become Hillary or Barack’s Secretary of State (hopefully VP), I’m still livid that flowery rhetoric can trump seasoned experience in both domestic and foreign affairs. Begging the question, are all Americans this dumb or just Iowans? Moreover, are we electing an Ipod or a president? Adding comity to our otherwise vitriolic public discourse and combating voter apathy, although noble and righteous, is by no means a consideration in a dangerous, ever-changing global environment

In all fairness to Senator Obama, because of the current lummox-in-chief, the standards are lower than Keith Richards’s blood count. Assuming Senator Obama can continue to ride this wave of change through the primaries, I hope that he chooses a Biden or a Richardson as his runningmate.

Ron Paul: The Global Warming of Candidates

Please do not regard the title of this blog as some subtle inference to Ron Paul as the only candidate to take on the frigid Hillary Clinton. On the contrary, my point is to illustrate how the subject of Ron Paul in the MSM is just as tangential as Global Warming. Forget he’s the only republican candidate with the smarts and intestinal fortitude to challenge the conventional wisdom of his party; forget he’s belying his second-tier status by rasing funds at incredible speed (Ron Paul raised $5 million on a single day); and forget he’s the only republican candidate to have not only openly called for a withdrawal from Iraq, but explained the historic consequences of intervention commonly known as ‘blowback’.

Ron Paul shot to prominence at the Republican debate in South Carolina when he brilliantly cited the reasons as to the rise of Al-Queda. In response to a question on terrorism Ron Paul said, “Have you ever read about the reasons why they attacked us? They attack us because we’ve been over there . . . we’ve been bombing Iraq for 10 years.” Ron Paul furthered his assertion on the dangers that lie in unchecked interference by citing the CIA-backed overthrow of Mossadegh in Iran.

Boring, Mr. Paul! The MSM needs to know what you think of Brittany shaving her head!

Ron Paul’s ardent desire to focus on the issues and our political history is utter balderdash! He should be focusing on inventing new and improved ways of forming sentences that contain 9/11 if he ever wants to break through the hype. That Rudy is getting wall-to-wall coverage on Fox news, the network that makes Joseph Goebbels look like the BBC, isn’t the least bit shocking when he’s banging the Iran war drum like his second wife and drooling at the prospect of torture like a rabid pit bull. After all, he does have quite the relationship with Fox News president Roger Ailes, which, if I’m not mistaken, is deeper than one of his marriages. But how come the unusually scant coverage on the other networks? It’s time for the talking heads of MSM to stop fawning over the majority candidates and start giving equal coverage to lower-tier candidates with great ideas such as Ron Paul and Joe Biden. Although they belong to different parties and undoubtedly have diametrically opposed views on the issues, particularly on Foreign Policy, they both have what seems to be the vision, experience, and guts to lead our nation out of the crapper.

Just 11 months to screw things up!

The Republicans should face reality: Bush has tainted the executive office so incredibly badly that their party doesn’t stand at a chance in the presidential election next year. In fact, it doesn’t matter who they nominate—Giuliani, McCain, the Mormon, or Reagan’s ghost. As long as the Democrats put up someone with a pulse, the G.O.P. is going down faster than Paris Hilton on the US Navy.

And since Hillary is the Democratic frontrunner, what they’re doing by proceeding as if they have a chance is making their own worst nightmare come to pass—President Hillary Rodham Clinton.

(Logic doesn’t explain why conservatives detest the Clintons so much, especially when she’s the most conservative of all the Democratic Party’s candidates. My theory is that Bill was the first Democrat to serve in the White House after Fox News came on the air, so eight years of blatantly anti-Clinton propaganda has whipped the Fox faithful into a frenzy without them really understanding why. As with dogs trained to attack on command, there’s not a lot of thought involved.)

So what the Gang of Petrowhores should do is forfeit the election. Just give up now. They withdraw now, and in their place, the top two Democrats duke it out next November. In other words, whichever two donkeys get the most votes in the Democratic primary go before the voters. It could be Hillary versus Obama, or Hillary versus Biden.

Either way, it’s a win-win situation for conservatives and sane Americans, too: Conservatives get the chance to vote for someone who isn’t Hillary and—more importantly—actually has a chance of winning, while everyone else gets a much better choice than Hillary versus McCain.

Of course, all of this is contingent on Republicans facing reality—which is not something that conservatives are known for doing.
