The Return of The King(?)

For the past four days, the Earth has stood still; the winds were silent, the stock market dropped, the seas began to boil, parts of the Earth were scorched, and Packers fans everywhere have gone missing from their homes and work. Why? Because Brett Favre, the good ‘ol boy, has said that he wants to play football…again. The messiah wants to return.

As a football purist, this is probably the best news I’ve heard all summer. Especially since it breaks up the constant talk about the many cry babies (Ocho Cinco and Jeremy Shockey to name a few) and jail birds (Adam Jones, Mike Vick, my man from the Buffalo Bills, my mom, Chris Henry etc.). A sport, MY sport, has heard the greatest news of the season yet to come that Brett Favre (the SAVIOR) wants to come back to save the Green Bay Packers and rescue the NFL. Brett Favre in a Packers uniform is as American as apple pie. It’s as American as beer during happy hour…

…Wait a minute…

Did I mention that I am not a “football purist”? Was I misleading?

My bad.

Look, I love football, and I appreciate what Brett Favre has meant to the game, but give me a break already! Number 4 has been doing this retirement dance for the last four years. Each time he has done this bit, it has left the team in limbo. And, yes, his status does afford him some flexibility in making up his mind, but when is enough, enough? Brett says that he felt “pressured” to retire back in March. I, personally, don’t buy it. You find me a work place in which your boss puts everything on hold to see if your replaceable self is going to report to work after a long vacation.

Go ahead, I’ll wait...

Back? Good! I didn’t think you could. Brett Favre is no different (to me) than that other high profile athlete whose last name rhymes with LEMONS, who keeps retiring and un-retiring. If the spotlight’s not on them, they’re not happy. Mr. Favre, believe it or not, the game will continue on with or without you. So will the Green Bay Packers (I know, hard to believe).

I Met A Woman On My Birthday

This was originally written in 2006. I received such a good response from it that I wanted to share it with you on this new site as a way of introducing myself to the world. I hope you enjoy...

I met a woman on my birthday

Last night, I met woman...a woman that actually causes me to say that; "I met my match"...she had a sexy smell, was warm to the touch, didn’t talk much, but was a good listener. In her own way, she eased my pain, made me forget about my problems for the night, and, and made me laugh. What else can I say about her? As the night went on, I got to know her better and better...and i liked it. We got closer..and CLOSER...real intimate. She was soft...and WET... she tasted like sweet necter. What else was sexy about her? For me, she was light (I have a preference for the fair skinned). However, like most women in my life, despite all the closeness, all the bonding, all the attraction, she left me. Before the night was over, she had me trippin’, and she made me feel like crap...made me feel like I wanted to die. As she left me, I hit the ground...begging her to stop. Pleading with her not to make me feel this way. But, it was inevitable that she left me. She served her purpose...she gave me one night of pleasure on a special night, my birthday, and also gave me one night (and morning) of pain... I know you are dieing to know this woman's name, right? Let me tell you her name...but i gotta tell you, everytime I say her name, it cause me to tremble... WHO IS THS WOMAN????

This woman's name is Petrone... DAMN!!!!! That ish had me SAAAUUCY!!! I am never drinkin’ that stuff again!! EVER!! Let's get one thing straight...I am THE CAPTIAN of TEAM SAUCY (copyright as of 2006) ,ok!!! I can throw it back like nobody's business. I'm a lean, mean, drinkin machine!! Being a part of the TEAM is a priviledge, not a right...it's earned... But last night (7/6/06), The Captain met his match. This was a bad mamma jamma. I have never been drunk this long!! (it's 3:40pm, and, yes, i'm still saucy) You know you are saucy when...you try to sleep on the sreet, thats all i'm sayin!!!
