The writer's guild strike deprived us of seeing it this January, but this time its almost certain we'll get to see it. <br /> <br /> All the recent controversy regarding torture conducted by security officials in real life terror investigations spilled over into the fictional life of Jack Bauer, influencing the script in a passive manner. While jack is not made to torture less, those around him push to keep him in check. He is even arraigned before a congressional panel for a hearing regarding his rough handling.<br /> <br /> Beside this, there are also other significant changes to the show, some of which may be spoilers, so i'll refrain from giving too much information. What I can say, is that it begins with Jack hiding out in Africa, where he gets caught in the middle of a coup.
