This article is all about a few painless ways you can give and help your fellow human being without actually losing anything in the process. Hopefully it will get some of those "goodness gears" turning!

These days, advertisers will do most anything to get you to look at their marketing and many have turned to the act of giving to charity whenever one of their ads are viewed online at a web location called a charity click site. It is not always required that the ad actually be clicked in order for the advertiser to make the charitable contribution, just viewed, but clicking the ad usually helps in providing an incentive to the advertiser to continue with their charitable advertising endeavors.

I have found one great charity click site with a number of different clickable ads for many different causes at http://www.charityclickdonation.com/ . There are other sites out there, but I’m too lazy to look further and this one does the job just fine from what I can tell.

- Expired Coupons Help Military Families -

I have discovered a great way to help the families of our brave fighting forces get food and other necessities without spending a dime (except for a little postage). Did you know that military commissaries can accept manufacturer’s coupons up to 6 months after their expiration dates?! Just visit the Overseas Coupon Program website at http://www.ocpnet.org for instructions and a list of bases you can send to!

- Tax Writeoffs Just For De-Cluttering -

I took a look at the details of what sort of charitable giving is tax deductible and whom you can give to - and the legalese and bureaucratic gobbelty-gook made my head spin to the point where I thought I was going to lose my lunch! If you don’t believe me, take a look at this web page I found with all the information posted: http://www.lectlaw.com/files/tax13.htm . Ridiculous!

In the interest of saving you the hell of trying to understand all this stuff, my advice is to just do what I do and save yourself a lot of headaches by donating all your household junk to The Salvation Army. They will issue you a receipt which you will then hand to your preparer at tax time who will know what to do. If you have enough junk they will often come by your home and pick it up! Now wasn’t that easy!?

- Give Time-
- Recycle Bottles and cans and donate the proceeds
- Donate Your Hair to wigmakers for cancer patients
- Get Creative and think up your own damned ideas, sheesh! What do I look like? The goody two shoes oracle or something!?

And most importantly, just give a hoot about your fellow human a bit in your daily conduct. You’d be amazed at what a difference just being cool to people can make (open a door, give directions, help an old lady across the street, etc.)
