"Sorry I'm so late." Have you ever heard these words before when you are excited to meet someone for the first time? It's called a date. When this happens, the person waiting will continue to think throughout the date this person was late. But then you try to do your best to give that person the benefit of the doubt. Okay, let us start from the very beginning. . .

Getting the number. . .Where did you meet? What was your first impression? Don't panic! If you got passed the two questions, take a breather and relax. Obviously, you liked the person who approached you. We've all heard it before- meet in a public place, or first meet for cofee. Once you do that, find out as much as you possibly can without being too talkative. If that person says something to you amusing or you think that is amusing, laugh. As it has been said and not stressed enough, relax and enjoy the evening.

But if you find that one that has you waiting at the meeting place say 10 minutes, leave. Ten minutes is entirely too long to wait for someone to show up for a date. For this reason if you wait any longer and that person does show up, it's likely that you won't be able to enjoy yourself because the whole time you'll be thinking, "Why was this person late? Why did he/she take so long? Did he or she not really want to see me? There could be several reasons for that person not showing up at the time requested. The fear of being rejected, car broke down, or wanted to change clothes.

These are all good and decent reasons for the tardiness. So if you are prepared to hear the answer-ask. But if you are willing not to know, don't ask. The dating game is a difficult one to tackle, but in most cases, you have to treat it like a chess game. Know when to make your move, how to make your move, and when the move is made, make sure it's the right move.
